Many gardeners appreciate pampas grass because it shoots so fast, provides a dense privacy and decorative flowers. In smaller gardens, the size can be a problem, because the ornamental grass narrows ways and with its razor-sharp leaves to the danger. But you can easily reduce pampas grass by cutting off.

Pampas grass grows out of a nest, as the root system is called. The young shoots appear inside and push the old shoots to the edge. Over time, the eyrie becomes larger in this way.
If the plant has become too big, reduce the size of the eyrie by cutting off parts or dividing it in the middle.
