How do palm trees grow - are there any special features?
Due to the variety of palm species, the Mediterranean plants also differ greatly in their growth and the growth habit. All palms form leaves that consist of the leaf base, the petiole and the leaf blade. There are single or double pinnate foliage but also palm leaves, which resemble a flat fan. As different as stem and leaf of each species look, so different are the fruits and flowers.
Tips
The growth of the palm can be positively influenced by good care. If in the spring, when the growing season begins, but not enough is poured and fertilized too much, the palm forms numerous new fronds. Also to fulfill the light needs, depending on the cultivated nature, is important in this context.
