The heyday of the daffodils
The daffodils are a subspecies of daffodils with bright yellow flowers. The name of these spring messengers gives a clear indication of the usual flowering time of the popular garden and cut flowers.

The yellow narcissus (Narcissus pseudonarcissus) is therefore called a daffodil, as it is usually in full bloom at the time of the Easter festival and attracts much attention in an otherwise rather bare and colorless vegetation.
