Location and time
Magnolias prefer a sunny to partially shaded (ie located in southwest or southeastern position), sheltered from the wind. In addition, these large shrubs need due to their abundant crown development a lot of space, which is why they should be planted as solitary. The optimal soil for magnolia is humus, d. H. nutritious, and slightly acidic and can hold moisture well. It is best to plant your young magnolia in the spring after the last frosts so that it can grow well over the summer.
