Madagascar palms can be multiplied in two ways: Either sow seeds from specialist shops or cut side shoots as cuttings.
Rearing seeds is tedious and works only if you can create sufficiently high ambient temperatures.
Easier and less complicated is the multiplication of side shoots, which you can cut as a cutting. You must use only healthy mother plants, as the Madagascar palm is weakened by cutting.
So you sow a Madagascar palm
The best time to sow is spring. As cultivation soil very fine cactus soil is suitable. To prevent the seeds from being washed away, use a flower syringe to moisten. It is even better if you use special window greenhouses to grow Madagascar palms.
Pull offs from side shoots
