Privet is reissuing twice a year, in early May and mid-August. This means that blue seed must be given in advance.
It takes about 14 days for the nutrients to penetrate the soil. Blue seed or green grain is used to fertilize the privet in late April and early August.
Fertilize on a rainy day or water the privet sufficiently after fertilizing.
