Lavender has very different effects on insects
For millennia, the lavender is valued mainly for its odor. This comes from the essential oils produced by the plant, which are understood as volatile, non-greasy fragrances. Hobby beekeepers can also offer their bees with lavender a flowering plant well into autumn, and lavender honey is a delicacy.
Lavender dispels annoying insects
As attractive as lavender may seem to bees, butterflies and bumblebees, it seems so daunting to us annoying insects such as mosquitoes. Tips & Tricks
For a stronger effect, instead of real lavender, use better lavender or Speiklavendel. These varieties have a higher proportion of essential oils.
