Can you use the flowers of the poppy?
Poppy flowers do not just look good on the field or in the garden. They are even edible conditionally. Unfortunately, they wither quickly. Keep the stems in hot water for a short time, extend the shelf life of the flowers.
Nevertheless, poppies are only partially suitable for the vase. Fortunately, not all plants bloom at once. The flowering period lasts from May to July, so you can look forward to the luminous flowers for a long time.
Petals as edible decoration
As with many other plants, the flowers of the poppy are edible. You can use it to decorate buffets and salads. The petals are used in tea blends as jewelry drug. Consume only small amounts, in larger dose, they are slightly toxic.
