Repot the dragon tree properly
If you have set up the dragon tree as a houseplant once in a suitable location, then this requires not hardy outdoor plant except when pouring and fertilizing very little care. Nevertheless, from time to time the move to a new planter may be required.

The commercially available dragon trees are, unless they are specimens in hydroponic culture, usually sold in planters with ordinary potting soil with high peat content. However, this type of soil, in contrast to a specially mixed type of dragon tree substrate, tends to collapse and, therefore, does not allow any air to penetrate the roots after a short time. It may therefore be appropriate to repot a dragon tree in a pot with a more suitable substrate. The regular repotting should take place before the beginning of the strongest growth at the beginning of the spring. The right rhythm when casting can sometimes be difficult to find in the dragon tree. Why not relieve this chore in dragon tree care simply by switching to a hydroponic culture with a handy water level indicator? When repotting, make sure that all the soil is removed from the roots to prevent disease and fungal spores.

While compact dragon tree species, like a bonsai, remain very small, other varieties can grow surprisingly quickly at a suitable location. Smaller species may need to be repotted for the first time after about two to three years, while faster guarded dragon trees need a slightly larger planter and fresh soil each year.
Tips
Just after repotting, kite trees are somewhat vulnerable and should therefore be protected from excessive sunlight for a period of several weeks. In addition, it does not hurt to spray the plants during this time, especially in the area of leaves with a little water from a nebulizer.
