The easy-care coffee plant does not tolerate waterlogging, so the soil in which it stands should be permeable. Use commercially available potting soil for room or container plants.If necessary, mix sand and gravel underneath or clay granules.
This makes the earth a bit more permeable. This is especially important if your coffee plant is in the garden or on the balcony and occasionally has to withstand a downpour. Make sure that the plants are sufficiently stable in the case of large plants. Do not water your coffee plant until the soil has dried slightly.
