Those who want to garden naturally and ecologically in their raised bed, preferably fertilize their plants with horse manure or cow manure. You can get both fertilizers cheaply from the next farmer or the nearby riding hall.
Horse manure contains everything that plants need
Horse manure in particular is ideal for becoming part of a compost bed. However, you should only use the horsepowder - but not the box-derived used straw. It also contains urine, which is very spicy and could affect the growth of plants. Horse manure contains all the important nutrients your crops need: these are mainly nitrogen, phosphate, magnesium and potassium. In addition, the fertilizer binds the water in the soil (in this case in the raised bed), so that the risk of dehydration is reduced. Horse manure should always be brought in as one of the middle strata when (re) installing the raised bed in autumn.
Tips
If you want to fertilize your plants directly with horse manure, it is best not to use fresh, but composted manure.
