Essential oils and resins of the holy herb show in the bites of mosquitoes and other insects a healing effect. It reduces the itching and supports the skin in the regeneration of the wounds.
For this purpose, fresh leaves are ground and processed into a pulp, which is painted on the sting or bite wound.
Seeds of the holy herb as a worm remedy
The seeds of the holy herb are used in naturopathy as deworming agents. It is said to fight worms and other intestinal parasites.
