Germinate hazelnuts: is that possible and if so how?
Raise hazelnuts from seeds and with your own hands - is that in the sense of the possible? Although it is not a common method to germinate and nurse hazelnuts, but the experiment is worthwhile for experimenting gardeners.
Only germinate raw hazelnuts
If you think you can simply get the hazelnuts out of the trade and make them home, you're wrong. Many hazelnuts from the trade were dried too hot, roasted or are too superimposed and thus no longer germinable.
Which hazelnuts can be used?
To germinate you should use fresh hazelnuts. Ideally, those that you have harvested or collected yourself. Then you can be sure that they are germinable.
Be sure to use only ripe hazelnuts. You recognize them by a brown shell and by the fact that their shell can be easily detached. In addition, ripe hazelnuts fall down to the ground. In addition, the nuts you use to germinate should be unpeeled.
How are the hazelnuts stimulated to germinate?
