Pomegranate plant contains poisonous plant parts
The juice and seeds of the pomegranate taste delicious, are rich in B vitamins, minerals and trace elements. The roots and the bark of the pomegranate tree, which were used until the Middle Ages as a remedy for tapeworms, however, are toxic.
