Always cut off blooming gerbera flowers immediately
Whether as a houseplant or in the garden - in a favorable location, the gerbera produces many flowers. Bloomed flowers must always be cut off immediately. This stimulates the flowering of the plant.
Stimulate flowering
In order to produce many flowers, faded inflorescences must be cut as continuously as possible. This applies to both the houseplant on the house or on the balcony as well as the gerbera in the garden.
Cut the stems as low as possible. Only a stub of a maximum of three centimeters should remain on the plant. He gets dressed and is not visible any more.
By regularly cutting off withered flowers, you encourage the plant to develop new inflorescences. If you let the stems stand against it, the gerbera will stop blooming fairly quickly.
Tips & Tricks
If the gerbera bears many flowers, you can cut a few of them for the vase or a beautiful bouquet of flowers. As a cut flower, the flowers hold up to two weeks.
