The great variety of raspberries: yellow raspberries
Most gardeners are pulling red raspberries in the garden. That there are a variety of yellow raspberry varieties, is little known. Here, yellow raspberries are a real eye-catcher. They are sweet-sweet and in no way inferior to their red relatives.
Add color to the garden with yellow raspberries
Yellow raspberries are hard to come by in business. This is one more reason to even grow a few yellow varieties in the garden or in the tub.
The cultivation does not differ from that of the red representatives. Yellow raspberries can be grown outdoors as well as in pots on the balcony or terrace.
Most of the yellow varieties available from retailers are relatively new. They are more resistant to diseases and pests. Probably the oldest yellow raspberry that is still commonly grown is the "Yellow Antwerp".

The variety of yellow raspberries is so great that it is difficult to find the right variety. A small overview of known and less known raspberry varieties helps in the decision.
Yellow summer raspberries
"Golden Queen" is one of the newer breeds that are more robust than older varieties. The first fruits are already ripe in the summer. Until the first frost, new fruits develop.
With the cultivation of the "yellow Antwerp" you can do without a scaffolding. "Fallgold" is not a pure summer raspberry. The first berries are already ripe in July, so it is also one of the early autumn raspberries.
Yellow autumn raspberries
"Alpengold" is much appreciated by many gardeners because it does not form spines. Not easy to get is the variety "Goldmarie". It belongs to the old Landsorten, which are unfortunately rarely planted. Often it is only available in exchange in neighboring allotment colonies.
If you want to plant a robust variety in your garden, "Golden Everest" is a good choice. It is resistant to diseases and makes beautiful big fruits. A very pretty color is "Autumn Amber" whose yellow has an apricot-colored tone. The fruits of "Autumn Gold" get a warm honey tone.
Yellow two-timer variety
A yellow two-timer variety is "Sugana". It develops very large fruits and tastes aromatic after wild raspberries. Since it can be harvested twice, it is particularly well suited for cultivation in the allotment garden.
Raspberry bushes with yellow and red fruits
Two-colored raspberries were bred for growing in pots. Here, a red and a yellow variety are combined. The plants remain quite small and can be harvested several times.
Tips & Tricks
Combine raspberry bushes with red, yellow and black fruits. In fruit salads or on fruit pies different-colored berries have a particularly decorative effect.
