Nothing is impossible - the honeysuckle in the bucket
Although the honeysuckle is a fast-growing, creeping climber, this does not mean that it is not suitable for the tub culture. If you do not have your own garden and want to beautify your balcony or terrace, you do not have to go back here.
Evergreen honeysuckle species are the first choice
In particular, evergreen species and here above all the well-known evergreen honeysuckle are suitable for Kübelhaltung. They are pretty to look at all year round. The foliage remains dark green and glittering throughout the winter. The privacy is guaranteed if the location has not been chosen disadvantageously ...
Find a good location
A bright place should be chosen for this climbing plant. But bright does not necessarily mean full sun. A location on a south-facing balcony is absolutely unsuitable for a honeysuckle in a bucket. Similarly, a place in the apartment next to the heater, on the windowsill and in a merciless midday sun delivered location inappropriate.
Well suited are east and west sides of the house, for example, on the terrace wall. If necessary, also north sides are suitable. However, it should not be too dark, because otherwise the honeysuckle will quickly be frosted. Another advantage is a high humidity.
The bucket and the substrate
These aspects are enormously important if you want to enjoy your honeysuckle for a long time:
Indispensable: a pases trellis
In the bucket, a honeysuckle must necessarily be provided with a trellis such as, for example, gratings, wire ropes, rods or similar objects. This is needed in order to be able to climb up, as it does not have coneflow roots like the ivy.
Now it depends on the care!
Last but not least, care is crucial:
