Renovate a garden house - that's how it works
Sun, wind, rain and snow are mainly wooden summer houses over the years. Aging phenomena such as cracks, stains, maybe even mold show up. The appearance is not very inviting, the whole house gives a run-down impression. Then it's time to give the arbor a beauty cure and restore it expertly.
Step 1: Clean the facade
Whether you use a high-pressure cleaner or a hard brush and garden hose is dependent on the pollution. Then let the surface dry well.
Step 2: Sand down old paint layers
The easiest way to sand off with a vibratory or eccentric grinder. Work through difficult areas with medium-grain sandpaper. Be sure to use a respirator to protect against particulate matter!
Step 3: Renew rotted parts
If walls, doors or windows are distorted or even rotten, you should replace them completely. Afterwards, the entire garden house is again turned away well to remove dust and dirt.
Step 4: Fill holes and cracks
For this purpose, special wooden putty is suitable, which you apply according to the instructions on the packaging.
Step 5: The new painting
So that the wood does not weather again immediately, several coats are advisable:

Restoring an old garden house is only worthwhile if the substance and the foundation are still in order. If this is not the case, it is easier to dispose of the house and set up a new arbor.
