Pampas grass does not need a lot of water
Pampas grass must be watered regularly
Although pampas grass tolerates drought quite well, the roots should never dry out completely. This is especially true if you pull the ornamental grass in the bucket. You have to take this into account when watering the perennial.
Water frequently during the growing season
Pampas grass prefers a loose, sandy soil, in which no waterlogging can form. Since the substrate can hardly store water, you must water the plant regularly during the growing season.
This is especially true if you are cultivating pampas grass in the tub. Regular watering is essential here.
To prevent waterlogging, the planter must have sufficiently large drainage holes in the floor. After casting, check that the soil has absorbed all water. If water is in the saucer or in the planter, you should drain it immediately.
Tips
The horst of pampas grass is very sensitive to moisture. Therefore always water around the plant and never directly in the middle.
