To multiply strawberry trees - this is how it works
The evergreen strawberry tree originating from the Mediterranean region is becoming increasingly popular even in our latitudes. The attractiveness of this exotic cultivated mostly as a container plant make the attractively colored bark, the strong green foliage, the tender, white umbels and the fruits ripening all year round on the tree. Unfortunately, strawberry trees are quite expensive in trade. However, the cultivation is not difficult, so you can easily pull even a strawberry trees from a strong specimen.

For this you cut about ten centimeters long cuttings. The shoots should only be half timbered so that they easily form roots. Then do the following:
The generative propagation by seeds
Seeds can be obtained from the ripe fruits of the strawberry tree. These should bring you as soon as possible into the earth. Alternatively, you can get seed from specialist dealers.
Attention: Here too you usually have to stratify the seeds, because for the germination the small grains have to be exposed to the cold for a longer period of time.
The right place is important because only then do the seeds go up. Optimal, for example, a cool basement room. Until leaves can show but also go here for some time in the country. Only after about three to four months have the small strawberry trees become so large that you can transplant them into pots of potting soil that you put in sand.
Tips
In the house, the cultivation is possible all year round. Plan the stratification so that, for example, in a bright garage or greenhouse, the optimum germination temperature prevails.
