So you plant young oaks
Basically you can transplant oaks naturally. For young trees, the move is relatively easy. Older oak trees, on the other hand, should only be planted in a different place if it is really unavoidable.

The best time to transplant
Oak trees should only be transplanted in autumn. Over the winter, the trees have time to train new fine roots.
Prepare the planting hole
Prepare the new planting hole. Make a circle that is slightly larger than the treetop. Then the root ball has enough space. Curl up the soil profoundly.
Refine the soil for the planting hole with less mature compost. It has proven itself well to mix rotted Lauberde.
Dig up the oak
Use a spade to prick the earth around the tree, in a radius that corresponds to the circumference of the treetop. The underground root system has approximately the same extent as the crown.
Dig the oak as deeply as possible. Be careful not to cut or kink the roots.
