Efeututen are climbing and climbing plants for the room culture, whose shoots can be many meters long. If the plant is to climb in height, it needs a climbing aid. Which possibilities of climbing aids are there?

Unlike other climbing plants, individuals do not develop adherent roots, only aerial roots. These do not adhere to the ground or a climbing aid and must therefore be tied by hand to the climbing aid or attached in any other way.
The right trellis help for efeututen
As a trellis aid for an efeutute, you can use anything to guide or tie the tendrils.
Gladly used are small trellises that are inserted into the substrate. The tendrils are simply guided through the mesh. For hydroponic adults, the climbing aid should be plastic so it will not rot.

The staples should not constrict the shoots of the insects. Otherwise they prevent the supply of water and nutrients, so that the ivy gets yellow leaves and the shoot dies in the worst case.

Tips
You can easily pull an efutute without using the tress if you just let the tendrils hang. Keep in mind that insects are poisonous and the tendrils are not allowed to be within easy reach of children and pets.
