As with almost all vegetables, different varieties of Chinese cabbage can be distinguished. However, in Europe usually only one variety is grown. In the following, find out what this is and what features make it up.
Chinese cabbage comes, as the name suggests, from China. It was not until the 20th century that it came to Europe and today it is cultivated in Europe mainly in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.

In China, two Chinese cabbage varieties are distinguished: Baak Choi (white vegetables) and Lung Nga Paak (White Dragon's Tooth), which resembles celery.
