Keep the cherimoya in the bucket on the terrace
The cherimoya is also known as cream apple and ice cream fruit. That's thanks to her creamy and sweet aroma. In our latitudes, the exotic cherimoyas can be grown in the tub when the plants are overwintered in the house.
How are cherimoyas planted?
The seeds are simply placed in small pots of potting soil and covered with a two-centimeter thick layer of soil.
After emergence, which can take up to two months, the plants are placed warm, but not sunny.
Depending on growth, the cherimoyas are planted in pots after one or two years.
In which soil do you thrive best?
The cherimoya needs little nutrients. Well suited is cactus clay. Simple garden earth mix with sand.
When is the best planting time?
The sowing takes place in winter, as the fruits are then ripe and the seeds can be raised for sowing.
