Cephalotus follicularis or dwarf jug is also called Western Australian Pitcher Plant, although it is not related to this species. The carnivorous plant forms deep red small pitcher with proper care. The care of this occurring only in a small region plant is complex and not suitable for beginners.

Waterlogging does not tolerate this carnivore. It therefore makes sense not to pour them in the backwater process, but rather to moisten the substrate regularly.

Other experts recommend keeping the plant cooler over winter. An ambient temperature of 10 to 16 degrees is ideal. If the dwarf jug is kept in a cool winter, it can even be kept in low light during winter.
Tips
For Cephalotus follicularis to develop its deep red pitchers, the plant needs a lot of light during the growing season. Several hours of sun a day or strong artificial lighting is required. When keeping under glass, make sure that the ambient temperature does not rise too high.
