Everything about the size of a beech
Beech trees are one of the big deciduous trees of our region. In a protected location, for example in the forest, they become higher than in free-standing locations. Due to their size, beech trees or single trees can only be used in very large gardens and parks.

The beech develops a very uniform treetop. In a mature tree, the crown reaches a size that allows it to shade 600 square meters.
If the beech is free, it is usually not quite as high. In the forest, however, where the trunk is protected by other trees, it can reach a size of 45 meters.
The annual growth of a beech
In the spring, the beech drives out for the first time. In this first shoot, it takes on average 40 inches in height and about 35 inches in width.

When is a book fully grown?
