He has particularly high water needs after planting. Here the first weeks moderate but regular watering is required so that he roots well. In potted and tub plants, the root area must not dry out, especially in winter, otherwise the bamboo will die off. But it must also be no waterlogging!
The bamboo prefers lime-free rainwater or even better: energized bamboo water. To avoid daily watering, when planting in the garden, pay attention to a location with moist soil. The more sheltered the site is, the less quickly the bamboo will dry out.
