There are several ways to successfully multiply Cyprus grass
Propagate Cyprus grass: offshoot, cuttings, sowing, division
It seems like a reed, the Cyprus grass. Long stalks and gently overhanging leaves shape its appearance. If you do not have enough of it and want to save costs, you can multiply it by different methods.

Not all species can be propagated via offshoot. In general, this is possible mainly with the large-growth species. The offshoots that serve to propagate grow out of the crown. They are cut off and placed in a glass with water (as low in calcium as possible). There they rooted within 4 weeks. Then they can move to a pot of soil.
Cuttings - similar to the offshoot method
In early summer is the ideal time for the cuttings propagation. This is how it works:
Division of the plant
The third propagation method for the Cyprus grass is the division. This method is probably the easiest. If the Cyprus grass is cultivated as a houseplant, the division can be implemented all year round. This method is effective when used in the course of annual potting between February and March.
First, the Cyprus grass is taken out of the pot. You see the roots - these are now being pulled apart in such a way that you get 2 to 3 parts of the plant. Alternatively, you can use a knife. Separately, they are planted.
Sowing - a little more elaborate
The seeds are light germs. Therefore, they should hardly or not at all be covered with earth. Press the seeds lightly into the seed soil. Then moisten the substrate.
If necessary, you can put a plastic bag over it. At a temperature between 20 and 25 ° C, the seeds germinate within 3 to 4 weeks. All in all, sowing is somewhat more laborious, in contrast to the offshoot method.
Tips
When propagating cuttings, it is best to cut several cuttings and place them in a pot with soil. Then the later growth picture looks pretty bushy.
