The water in the pond or aquarium must be very rich in nutrients. The pH should be between 6 and 8. If the plants do not grow properly, you should check the water quality and take appropriate action.
Is fertilization necessary?
Since the water hyacinth grows only in the garden pond from May to October, fertilization is usually not required. Most of the time, enough nutrients are produced by falling leaves or the excretions of fish.
