When is fertilizer from Thuja necessary?
Thuja prefers a loose soil that should not be too nutritious. Therefore, you should never overdo it with fertilizer. If you use fertilizer from the gardening market, be sure to follow the instructions and reduce the dosage rather something. Under no circumstances should you give more than listed on the box.
Fertilizing is really necessary only in very young plants. Even if the hedge looks a bit miserable or has yellow and transparent needles, fertilizing can be helpful.
Feed for the first time
If you have bought and planted Thuja in the bale, you do not fertilize in the first year. These plants are already sufficiently supplied with nutrients.
