The small-sized pansies are among the easy-care flowers that accompany us from March to October with their colorful flowers. They thrive - depending on the variety - in partial shade or in full sun.
Flowering pansy plants can be purchased in many different colors in spring and autumn. They are the first spring messengers in the window boxes and terrace tubs. Also as edge planting in the garden they are particularly well suited.
Partial shade for garden pansies
The pansies prefer a half-shady location and a nutrient-rich soil, but also thrive in the sun. For the breeding of young plants, the full sun should be avoided.
Full sun for horned violets
The hornbill is a Pyrenees-derived shrub and a sunbather. The plants prefer a stony soil. In rockeries and perennials, but also in the window boxes, they look good for many months.
Tips & Tricks
The sturdy pansies are also resistant to wet, dry or frosty weather at times.
