So that the star magnolia does not enter after transplanting, it should be dug up and transplanted at the right time. The best time has come in the fall, when the foliage begins to fall or has fallen off. Alternatively, the star magnolia can be transplanted in spring.
It is important that the soil is sufficiently warm and not frozen. This not only makes work easier, but in such a soil, the plant can still form new roots. It is also important that star magnolia has completed its growing season.
Dig up the star magnolia
If the time is right, you can dig up your star magnolia. First cut away old and annoying wood. This facilitates transplanting or transporting the star magnolia.

Arrived at the new location
The Star Magnolia needs a place where it can grow unhindered. She does not like being cut back later, so as not to disturb other plants in the environment. In addition to sufficient space, the location is significant. The plant loves a sunny to half shady location in a sheltered position.
