How to properly prepare the ground for the rock garden
Just pile up gravel and rocks and put mountain plants in between, does not make a rock garden. Before you can really get started, you must first make the area reserved for the rock garden weed-free. In particular root weeds such as thistles, winds, couch grass, sorrel, horsetail and yaw should be permanently removed - this only works by weeding and digging. Other unpleasant surprises such as buried rubble or even garbage is completely removed.
Empty out the bottom and replace if necessary
In general, it makes sense to pay particular attention to heavy and compacted soil, d. H. he has to be removed. How much soil you want to get rid of depends on the actual soil conditions - ideal are about 40 centimeters. On the tube comes again about five centimeters thick gravel or grit layer and finally the earth.
Tips
