Snowdrop care: insignificant or decisive?
Gladly snowdrops populate entire lawns in large stocks or proliferate under deciduous trees. Some gardeners plant them separately in the garden. Others pull snowdrops in pots. But what needs to be taken into account in the care?
Do you have to pour snowdrops?
Snowdrops usually do not need to be poured. During their growing season between January and April, there is usually a wet weather. If this is not the case and the snowdrop is, for example, in a sunny position, it must be supplied with water. You are welcome to use tap water.
Furthermore, the soil should not dry out in summer. Since the snowdrop has already retreated at this time, it may be forgotten. But the onion in the ground needs a moist soil to survive. Therefore, it is advisable to choose a place among deciduous trees, which provide shade in summer.

It is not necessary to fertilize snowdrops. Those who still fertilize, risk that many leaves, but no flowers form. Only after many years can a fertilizer application be appropriate. Snowdrops in the pot should be supplied with liquid fertilizer during and shortly after flowering.
