Most gardeners take seeding into their own hands. For this you can either use self-harvested seeds or use those from the garden retailers. The seeds are reminiscent of brown flaxseed. They are small, oval, smooth and brown to light brown in color.
From February, you can prefer the seeds, for example, under glass at home or in the cold frame in the garden. From March and until June at the latest (for a flower in the same year) they can be sown directly in the field.
The seeds are sown about 1 cm deep in the soil.When sowing several seeds, keep an interval of at least 15 cm. If necessary, the young plants must be separated later. The seeds are loosely covered with soil and the substrate is kept moist in the following period. The germination time is usually 10 to 21 days.

The cutting method is also promising in this easy-care plant. It is ideal if you approach this multiplication shortly after flowering of the plant. This is usually the case between May and August.
From the healthy loop flower shoots are cut off, which are not occupied with flowers. They should be colored green at the top and be 10 cm long. Ideal is a cut at a fork of the loop flower.
