Rooted rose cuttings and maintained properly
Cuttings do not succeed in all roses, but a try is worth it! If you then see the first self-grown rose grow and bloom, this will make you very proud and forget the many setbacks.
Produce and rooted cuttings yourself
Making rose cuttings yourself is quick and easy and can be done by the cutting of faded shoots just by the way, only the rooting does not always succeed. There are several methods, but the following has proven particularly useful:
Experience has shown that ramblers, tea roses, Chinese roses, musk tarans and all wild roses are particularly easy to root.
Rooting in the vase
You have been given a beautiful bouquet of roses for a special occasion? From this you can also grow your own rose bushes, because thanks to the vase method, even cut roses can still be rooted. To do this, remove the flowers as soon as they have withered and let stalks stand in the vase until roots form. You should set the vase to a bright (but not sunny!) And warm location and change the water daily. Use warm water, as roses do not like cold. Cut roses are especially well rooted in glass vases.
Tips
Climbing roses, Rambler and shrub roses with flexible twigs can be propagated by bent branches - so-called sinkers.
