Wild roses are best suited as hedge roses

Low and mid-high hedges separate different areas within the garden. For a long-lasting bloom you should choose more flowering, higher bed roses. From the group of shrub roses the Moschatarosen (eg 'Ballerina', 'Marie Jeanne' or 'Vanity'), which flourish lush again in the autumn, are particularly well suited and can be cut well at a height of about 120 to 150 Keep centimeters.
Rose hedge as a screen
High hedges, which reach two meters and more, provide an opaque screen to the neighbors or form a natural transition to the open countryside. There they are allowed to grow together and support each other. Streams of drooping roses (for example, many wild roses or wild rose hybrids), which can disturb other garden areas, make the hedge dense and impenetrable.
When planting, do not forget the support rod
If you want to avoid wild shoots, you should plant the roses as low as possible for a hedge. Then there is a high probability that the refinement forms its own roots and wild foothills are no longer formed. These are often very difficult to remove in the spiky tangle. In addition, especially the higher-awake shrub roses need firmly anchored support rods to which you tie the main drives. The ideal planting distance for rose hedge is about half of the expected final height - so ideally two meters tall shrub roses should ideally be placed at a distance of about one meter. Incidentally, real-sighted hedges only develop after about three to four years of growth. You will have very little effort in terms of both plants and care with the various wild roses and their hybrids.
Tips
Although in rose hedge two or more flower colors can be wonderfully combined, but especially impressive is a hedge, which consists only of a variety of roses. For example, the modern shrub rose, Bantry Bay 'towers on extremely lush flowering mountains.
