In general, you should choose the distance between the roses in such a way that the beauty of the individual comes into its own. Therefore, make sure you have sufficient distance to other roses, shrubs or perennials. In particular, modern bed roses as permanent colorators are indispensable for beds.
Create rose beds and discounts
The tallest plant within a bed should not be much higher than the bed is wide. Plant at least three pieces of one variety, preferably five or seven, on low bed roses and red roses - so that you achieve a flat color effect. Higher bed roses with arched overhanging growth, which can sometimes reach a height of up to 120 centimeters, also bring enough color to the solitaire. In the past, especially rose hyacinths were pulled in extra beds, often framed with a book edging. However, this monoculture encourages fungal infection and attracts pests, so these varieties should be better planted in mixed beds - this reduces the susceptibility to disease. In any case, roses are the most beautiful with their companions. Higher shrub roses also fit well in woodland borders, of course in due distance.
Tips
Caution is advised with roses, which are to grow in beds before Thuja or yew hedges. Here you need a root barrier, so that the roses are not starved by the proliferating roots of the hedge. Even book hedges must not come too close to the roses: Keep at least 30 centimeters away from the roses.
