Quince tree: facts about the size
In mild vineyards Cydonia oblonga reaches between 3 and 8 meters. The fruits from the Rhineland and Baden Württemberg achieve a high quality. Depending on the variety, the quince impresses as a shrub or small tree.
A strong tree scaffolding
The wood of the quince tree becomes as tall as it is wide. Within a few years it will grow. The life span is on average 50 years. Due to its stature, the quince is very resistant.
Quince leaves reach a length of up to 10 centimeters and a width of 7.5 centimeters. The flower has a similar size. In addition, the petiole is provided with smaller stipules.
