So you can build a source stone for the stream itself
Each stream is fed from one source, which of course also applies to artificially created streams in the garden. Here, the actual source consists of a water hose, through which the water is transported by means of a pump. However, since a piece of hose is not a particularly pretty sight, you can hide it - for example in a sourcestone.

You can buy pre-drilled sourcestone in every supermarket. However, if you have taken a nice boulder or similar from the last walk, then this can also be used. Most boulders are made of a kind of granite, which is particularly resistant and therefore perfectly suitable for this purpose. Instead of a single large stone, you can also pile many stones on top of each other - and let the spring water flow down like a cascade.
Drill and insert the source stone
If you decide on the stone cascade, pile the stones into a stable hill, through the middle of which the spring hose runs upwards and conveys the water to the desired exit point. On the other hand, you must drill a solitaire completely, with the drill hole needing a slightly larger diameter than the water hose. You can do this yourself with the aid of a special stone drill on the hammer drill (or concrete block drill), but you can also have it done by a stonemason you can trust. The latter variant is the safest, because such a stone can break through a wrong hole.
Connect the source stone with the water supply
The sourcestone is best placed in a water basin, which forms the starting point for the stream. This basin is best shaped like this:
Depending on the weight of the source stone, you must place it securely on fence posts, impact foundations or on several bricks.
Tips
A sourcestone can also be installed as a decorative element without a stream and a pond. In this case, hide the pump in the water basin below the stone. This variant is for example wonderful for the terrace.
