Peonies are hardy in this country. Nevertheless, freshly planted specimens, those in rough conditions and in the bucket, should be protected in winter. But how?
Cut back and protect perennial peonies
Peonies in the field are cut down in the fall and just over the ground. Then you can cover the plants in the root area with brushwood. This protective layer should be removed in the spring!
