Parsley is a slow-germ. It may take a few weeks for the first green tips to show. Sometimes it does not germinate under bad conditions. Then only a second attempt to sow parsley will help.

Normally, the germination time outdoors is between four and six weeks. But it may take longer for the parsley to get going.
Always plant parsley in the garden with a starter seed such as radish. Then you better recognize the rows and can remove the weeds before it overgrows the parsley seedlings.
When sowing in a pot, it is usually faster, because you can put the parsley seeds in a warmer place.
Tips & Tricks
To germinate parsley a little faster, allow the seed to swell before sowing. To do this, sprinkle the seeds in lukewarm water and let it soak for a few hours.
