No matter how different the different types of cabbage may look - there are similarities in the cultivation of cabbage. A lush cabbage harvest does not fall from the sky. The spicy vegetables, which are rich in vitamins and ballast substances, want to be well cared for.
Location and soil condition
The cabbage family is a sophisticated society that feels comfortable when it gets a warm, profound and nutritious location in your back yard. Whether red cabbage, white cabbage, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower or savoy cabbage - they keep you up to the harvest with their demands pretty good.

If you want to grow cabbage again next year, you should choose a different location. Heavy soils need at least a year's rest - with light soils, the soil may need 2-3 years before it is again suitable for a lush harvest of coal.
Grow and sow in the field
Depending on the species and variety, cabbage can be sown directly in the field or preferred in seed tanks and later put into the bed. Early, medium and late cabbage varieties are commercially available. You can cultivate the early varieties again immediately after the first harvest. If you grow cabbage varieties with different cropping times, you will have fresh cabbage from your own garden over a long period of the year.
