Increase climbing roses by cuttings
The easiest way to increase climbing roses by cuttings, which are cut directly after flowering. The best time to cut the cuttings is August, when it's still warm and sunny. The shoots are already well matured so late in the summer so the chance for rooting is even better.
The successfully rooted rose cuttings can be planted in May of the following year to their final location.

Propagation with plywood
Instead of cuttings you can cut sticks in late autumn or winter. This is a well lignified drive piece from which all leaves are removed. These shoots, which are between about 20 and 30 centimeters long, are stored in moist sand and winter in a cold and frost-free room. From March they can be planted in a sand-peat mixture. The rooted plywood can finally be planted in the autumn.
