To multiply a jaw made easy
With the right know-how, theoretically, it will be easy for you to breed a whole forest with a little patience from a single pine tree. While this would certainly break the capacity of your garden, a home-grown tree will still make you proud. Try it out, you will find the riveting of your jaws on this page.
Various possibilities
To independently grow a jaw, there are three variants to choose from:
The grafting
Grafting, also known as refinement, is a bit cumbersome and requires a little experience. Here are three different parts of the jaw together:
The technique is superficially used in bonsai care. The ideal time to graft a pine tree is winter.
Propagation from seeds
You can pull a jaw out of seeds
It's best to look for a dry day in late winter or early spring. Be sure to collect seeds that are as fresh as possible, as weather conditions such as humidity or rain influence the probability of germs. Then follow these steps:
- Dig a small hole in the desired location (preferably as sunny as possible). Pour in the pine seeds and cover them with soil. Water the soil regularly
Pull cuttings
For the propagation of a pine through cuttings, it is best to choose one day in spring or summer. Use shoot tips that are no longer soft but not yet woody. It is important not to cut them off, but to demolish them. At the wound, the so-called Rindzunge, better roots form than at a straight interface. Now all you have to do is remove the side shoots. In a seed pot in a bright place soon show the first new shoots. A foil additionally promotes the growth of your new jaw. The following spring, the cuttings are designed so that you can put them outside.
