Cutting a Kalanchoe - that's the way to go
Originating in Madagascar and the tropical regions of Asia and Africa, Kalanchoe is one of the most grateful indoor plants. It needs very little care and still flourishes every year. Like many potted plants, you must occasionally cut back on the Kalanchoe, whether it be for extermination or to control a sprawling growth. In the lower area bevelling plants are thereby stimulated to re-emergence and grow dense and lush after.

In fact, flowering Kalanchoen form upright umbels with small flowers or gently hanging bells. Please do not make the mistake of cutting off the whole umbel just because the first flowers are withering. Better do the following:
By this measure, the flowering time can be extended considerably.
Cut yellow leaves
The marginal leaves of Kalanchoe occasionally dry up and become unsightly. This is due to the natural aging process and not a cause for concern. Cut out these leaves regularly so they do not become a breeding ground for pathogens.
Pruning of the Kalanchoe
A pruning is only necessary if the plants in the lower part of the lead. It serves in this case, the rejuvenation, because the plant then drives vigorously and closely after.
Proceed as follows:
Do not throw away pruning
Now you have a lot of leaves that you can use excellently for the propagation of leaf or shoot cuttings. These are rooted very easily, so that the offspring easily succeed even inexperienced plant friends.
Tips
Despite pruning the Kalanchoe does not bloom, but only forms a lot of green? Presumably during the winter the plant stands in a room where the light burns in the evening. The short-day plant should not be illuminated for more than seven to nine hours from November to February, because only then will it flower reliably.
