Cacti with flowers are particularly attractive
Bringing cacti and flowers to bloom - how does that work?
The most beautiful types of cactus unfold breathtakingly beautiful flowers in spring or summer. It is so devastating when the exotic succulents keep their flowers under wraps. Fix the problem with a simple, horticultural trick. You can find out how to do this here.
Cool, dry wintering sets the course
In their Central and South American distribution areas, cacti are adjusted to rainy, hot summers and dry, cool winters. By simulating the natural conditions, you support the winter flowering induction. That is how it goes:
In early March, sprinkle the wintered cacti with soft, room-warm water. One week later you resume the normal watering and fertilizer intervals. First place the plants in a partially shaded place for 10 days so that they can get used to the sun again.
