Pull raspberries in the pot - tips for keeping the pots
If you only have a small or no garden, you do not have to go without fresh raspberries from your own vineyard. Raspberry bushes are wonderful to pull in the tub. What to look out for in the care of raspberries in the pot.
Benefits of growing raspberries in the pot
Raspberry bushes thrive in the pot as well as in the garden. The bucket cultivation even has advantages. The pot acts as a root barrier and prevents the ripples from overgrowing the entire garden.
Depending on the size of the tub, plant one or more plants in one pot. The plant pot should have at least 25 liters of capacity. If necessary, a ten-liter bucket is enough for very low raspberry bushes. The pots for raspberries should by no means be lower than a bucket of water.
Raspberry bushes bear fruit for up to ten years. So that you can harvest many raspberries every year, change the potting soil every two to three years.

Overwater the tub of raspberries
Raspberries in the garden are hardy and need no special protection. This is a bit different when planting in a pot. They cool faster at high minus temperatures. Frost damage can not always be ruled out.
Cut back all autumn raspberries. Summer raspberries are only partially cut back. The remaining rods protect you with spruce vines or fir branches from the cold. Cover the pot with bubble wrap or other insulation.
Put the tub close to the house wall over the winter. There it is not so cold due to the residual heat. But do not forget to water the plants from time to time so they do not dry out.
Tips & Tricks
Big planters can be quite expensive. In the hardware store you get cheap mortar tubs with large capacity. They are wonderful for planting raspberry bushes. Wash the tubs several times with vinegar water before use to remove harmful buildup.
