Transplant blueberries in the garden
Cultivated blueberries can yield good yields at the same location with appropriate fertilization for up to about 30 years, without necessarily being replanted during this time.
The right time for transplanting
In most fruit trees and also in the berry bushes, the periods with relatively pronounced squeeze provide for transplanting. This applies to blueberries on the period following the harvest time in late summer, when the leaves begin to fall off slowly and there are no pronounced dry phases more. When transplanting in the fall, the plants can root in the same year at the new location and thus deliver good yields for berry picking the following year. However, if necessary and urgent, the blueberry bushes can be transposed in early spring if the new shoots of blueberries have not yet expelled.

When transplanting blueberries in the field, pay attention to the following:
In spring and autumn, transplanting times should be selected with moderate weather patterns to improve chances of growth after relocation. Rainy weather is better for this than the gardeners pleasant sunshine. For larger shrubs, it may also be necessary to cut back to relieve the shrub's juice balance until fully rooted. It is important to keep in mind that even at the new location of their blueberry shrubs an acid soil environment with a pH of 4.0 to 5.0 must prevail. This can be done artificially with rhododendron and azalea earth from the trade.
Transplant blueberries in a pot
Even with blueberries in the pot, the roots tend to grow in width rather than in depth. Therefore, the planter must be sized large enough even on the balcony or on the terrace. In too small pots standing blueberries show occasionally stunted growth and other deficiency symptoms. Adjust the pot size at regular intervals to the awake size of the blueberry bushes.
Tips & Tricks
When transplanting plants can be fertilized with a lime-free long-term fertilizer, which is simply mixed with the new plant substrate.
