Hauswurzen (Sempervivum) are very undemanding and easy-care thick-leafed plants that tempt the resourceful gardener to all sorts of creative design possibilities. That's why we've put together some really nice deco ideas for you and your garden.
Great deco ideas with house root
In addition to the specific living conditions of the plants, note their growth in the design and decoration of the Hauswurz ensembles: the individual rosettes form offshoots called daughter rosettes over time and quickly overgrow even larger areas. Therefore, leave a little space between the rosettes so that they can spread and form clumps. However, you can also remove excess offshoots and plant them as stand-alone plants - for example, use for new plant ideas.
Materials for decoration
In terms of decorative materials, there are basically no limits, because you can put the house sausages in all conceivable planters and combine them with stones, various ornaments and / or other rock garden plants with similar needs. Use discarded (perhaps even battered) dishes, old clay pots, jugs, kettles, chairs, window frames, wooden boxes (eg teacups), cooking pots, le, ladles, shells and snail shells ... basically, house roots can be planted anywhere, in which only a little earth can be accumulated.

In addition, the rooibos are very well with low fat horseradish (Sedum), the spectacular flowering midday flowers (Delosperma), the Polsterrosenwurz (Rhodiola), the Starwort (Orostachys), Saxifraga (also called "Saxifrage") and other thick-leaf plants combine. Creating a rock garden close to nature
First of all, a well-designed rock garden does not have much in common with a mere "pile of stones" because the plants should set the tone. In natural rockeries stones should not be consciously erected upright, but as in nature irregularly arranged in groups. It is best to combine small and large stones of different colors together. With different kinds of rocks (for example tuff and slate stones) you create variety in the rock garden, but you can also limit yourself to only one kind.
The scree garden
A special form of the rock garden is the scree garden. Scree is a flat or rising mass of rock debris and some soil. Between the scree you plant different house shrubs as well as possibly further outdoor succulent plants or rock garden plants.
Tips
If you do not have enough space for a "proper" rock garden, then you can easily create one in miniature - in a wooden box, a discarded chair, on a stone or in a raised bed.
